The newly renovated park site includes a new recreation pool, a new competition/diving pool, surrounding pool deck and a mechanical room addition. Before construction of the new pools could begin, three existing pools and surrounding pool deck had to be removed from the site.The diving pool can be used economically during the off-season when the other pool is shut down. The diving pool goes from 8ft. to 13ft. in depth. It is used for such activities as water polo, synchronized swimming, diving and competition swimming. The recreation pool includes high and low diving boards, a slide and a
"rain drop" water feature. Shade structures were constructed over the existing bleachers and near the beach entry of the lap pool.
