Superior Court of Butte County

The Superior Court of Butte County consists of the original court (criminal and civil) and two contiguous additions. Stafford King Wiese Architects' scope of services included renovation of the original court structure, which was built in 1971, and complete interior space planning and remodeling.

Renovation work included:

• Criminal Courts
• Two Civil Courts
• Chambers for Seven Judges
• Four Jury Deliberation Conference Rooms
• Administration Space for approximately 25 executive administration support staff
• Extensive ADA Improvements for accessibility completed throughout all public and secure court spaces

The following spaces were added to courthouse:

• One Civil Courtroom
• Three Multipurpose Rooms
