Designed with a concentration on technology and restructured curriculum, this is the first high school for the Natomas Unified School District. The campus is fully networked with at least four computers per classroom plus a teacher workstation. Video network broadcasts feed from CATV, student TV studio programming, or remote from the theater or office.
The central video source at the media center is remotely controlled from each classroom via the Internet. The media center contains 32 workstations for individual use ranging from research, watching videos and CD ROMs, or writing papers.
The campus is organized around an activity courtyard and an academic courtyard with a
"professional office park" atmosphere requested by the District. The site was also master planned to accommodate a future rapid transit station.
