Methodist Hospital Expansion |
Sacramento, CA Catholic Healthcare West |
The expansion of the Methodist Hospital included a new 2-story
addition to the existing hospital with a front exterior view. This
project was a joint venture between Stafford King Wiese ARCHITECTS
and another architect firm. The expansion of the existing facility required intricate planning of site utilization. The main entrance, patient drop-off, emergency room access and the ability to maintain key departmental relationships and their future improvements were additional issues addressed during the planning process. This project includes a Lobby
and Gift Shop, Admitting Departments, Imaging, IV and Infusion Therapy, Endoscopy, Diagnostic
and Treatment Areas, Physical and Occupational Therapy and Cardio/Respiratory Therapy on the first floor. The second floor includes complete Labor
and Delivery Services with a Prenatal Department and NICU, Nursery, LDRP Rooms, Ante-Natal Testing, Labor Triage, Operative Delivery Rooms, Family Waiting
and Overnight Parents' Rooms, Nurses' Stations, Exam Rooms, Staff
and On-Call Rooms and other support areas.
