SKW conducted a feasibility study to examine the possibilities and concluded the need to expand the present Lincoln Hall (gymnasium), the cafeteria and to build a field house that primarily houses a second, auxiliary gymnasium. After several interactive discussions with the on- and off-campus user groups, students and parents, we presented an option that combined the two functions into a single building, preserving the inner-campus core and saving the District over $1 million in construction costs. In addition, the combined facility will open up additional field space, develop a greater sense of student pride, create a stronger sustainable end product and will strengthen the campus core. This is truly a transformative project that will alter and renew the Chico High School campus for the students and the community.
